about
These recordings were made over the course of nine months. We started tracking in Andrew's basement on Ellis St. All initial drums, bass and guitar tracks were recorded there. When it became time to record vocals, we moved over to Noah's house on J street and shouted in his dining room for three days. The songs then went back to Andrew's living room, where we rattled keys and discovered that tambourine is way harder than it looks. Then, we started mixing the thing at our house on Ellis, just a few blocks north of Andrew's house. At the Ellis house, we retracked most of the guitar takes, cut half of the songs out of now LP-turned-EP, retracked some bass, and invited the illustrious Ryan Patrick Wapnoski over to record some sax on the last track. We finished mixing in January 2013 and Luke paced back and forth in the kitchen every night for a few weeks thinking about whether he liked it or not. Finally, we were able to place a final mix in the hands of Mr. Christopher Vita, who mastered this thing at Vita Mastering in Portland, OR.
In memory of Perry Coward.

HUGE THANKS ARE DUE TO:
Lauren Stelling, Mike Hill, Trevor Spencer, Greg Phelps, Dan Senner, Kara Braich, and Sterling Laws for being great roommates who had to put up with far too many band practices in our living room.
Andrew Nickerson, Joey Rogerson, and Peschi for letting us record in their basement and putting up with hearing us fuck up our own songs far too many times.
Hans Klein and Sarah Jerns for loaning us some of the instruments and amps we used on the record.
Alex Ferrin and Drew Bye for helping us make initial demos of some of these tracks
Hollie Huthman, Shea Hagan, and Rebecca Ogden for running some of our favorite venues in the world.
